It's hard to fight what can't be seen
In the previous post I wanted to include this poem but the Sponge Bob appeal was too strong,
Death's Sweet Sting
by Victor Farrell
by Victor Farrell
Poking, jabbing, ripping, tearing
Crumbling joints without caring
Anger, hatred, knows no bounds
Catch my breath between the rounds!
Atavan, a shot of Brandy
Anything that might be handy
Take to change vibration’s mode
Negativity unload!
Damn…it’s hairy!
It’s hard to fight what can’t be seen
It‘s so damned cruel, vicious, mean!
The only weapon is one’s mind
Which tires quickly, so I find
Twenty-years, a little more
I’ve fought the battle, and I’m sure
If I live a few years still
I’ll fight with all my heart and will
This karma parry!
I’m too old, the fight’s been long
Wonder what I did so wrong
To endure it’s wicked rage
That follows still to life’s last page?
Battle in and out of body
Win some, lose some, much hot toddy
Back it comes like Yin and Yang
And so we battle, tooth and fang!
It’s really scary!
Still, I’ll fight until I go
I just can’t quit, although I know
There’ll be no winner in my time
No justice made to fit the crime
I will fight with all I’ve got
Though at this stage it’s not a lot!
Fight and see what time does bring
Perhaps the peace of death’s sweet sting?
Or must I tarry?
Always wary?
Crumbling joints without caring
Anger, hatred, knows no bounds
Catch my breath between the rounds!
Atavan, a shot of Brandy
Anything that might be handy
Take to change vibration’s mode
Negativity unload!
